David S. Dickerson
David S. Dickerson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Gem Real Estate Group. David was a founding principal of the company in 1993.
David’s role with Gem affords him the responsibility of overseeing the daily operation of the firm. This includes coordinating the activities of Gem’s Agency Services, Advisory Services, and Information Services teams. He also leads Gem’s strategic marketing efforts.
With more than 15 years of real estate experience in commercial and industrial real estate valuation, consulting and brokerage, David has unique insight into the regional market. His expertise extends to a variety of property types including: Downtown and suburban office buildings, industrial warehouse and manufacturing facilities, regional and neighborhood shopping centers, apartments, health care, special use properties, and mixed use vacant land. Charles A. Borgert
Charles A. Borgert is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gem Real Estate Group. Chuck joined the firm in 1996. In his role at Gem, Chuck oversees the Property Management Division. The goal of this group is to create successful real estate asset management programs for clients. He also works extensively with the group’s Leasing and Sales team to market commercial and industrial properties. Chuck’s professional experience in real estate spans more than 20 years. He has managed high rise office buildings, residential communities, medical complexes, Business Centers, and Industrial/Warehouse Properties, and has been involved in the sale and leasing of these property types.

Douglas E. Harnish
Douglas E. Harnish, MBA is the President of Gem Public Sector Services.
Doug directly oversees the activities of Gem Public Sector Services and provides comprehensive market analyses, pre-development and financial advisory services to government and non-profit clients.
With a career that spans more than thirty years in the real estate advisory field, Doug brings significant insight and experience to Gem’s clients. This experience involves real estate valuation, development, financing, and consulting for both public and private sector clients.
The projects Doug has been involved in extend from office uses to multi-family, to industrial and distribution, to special use properties and vacant land for development. Recent clients include a variety of governmental entities including cities, villages, townships, counties, and states as well as non-profit agencies and institutions.

Jon G. Hazelton
Jon G. Hazelton is a Senior Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group. Mr. Hazelton joined the firm in May 1998. As a member of Gem’s Sales and Leasing Team, Jon has played an active role in enhancing the brokerage functions of Gem’s Dayton office. He has also been responsible for contract real estate advisory services and has overseen the new business development function of Gem.
Jon brings more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry to Gem. His expertise includes financing commercial and industrial developments. This involved office, retail, multi-family and investor-owned industrial and commercial projects.

J. Timothy Logan
J. Timothy Logan is a Senior Vice President for Gem Real Estate Group. Tim joined the firm in the first quarter of 2000 as a member of the Sales and Leasing Team.
Tim has been active in expanding the brokerage functions of Gem's Dayton office, including representation of new business park developments. He has also been responsible for contract real estate advisory services and new business development for Gem.
Tim presents over 30 years of real estate experience to Gem Real State Group. and its clients. His applied knowledge extends through all areas of the commercial real estate field. Tim's primary area of expertise has become the retail and commercial development arenas, especially land development assignments.

Alan S. Cohen
Alan has built a solid network of industry contacts as well as a reputation for integrity and client-centered results.
Alan S. Cohen is a Senior Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group. Alan joined the firm in July 2005.
A native Ohioan and graduate of The Ohio State University, Alan’s real estate career spans thirty years. His experience as Vice President of Real Estate for an international franchising operation gives Alan a corporate perspective and unique strategies for site selection and demographics. Alan specializes in sales and leasing of retail, office and light industrial properties.

Cynthia L. Hatton Tepe
Cynthia L. Hatton Tepe is a Senior Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group. Cindy has been a member of the Gem team since 1994.
Cindy earned a Bachelors of Science from Wright State University. She is currently a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser for Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
An appraiser since 1987, Cindy specializes in the appraisal of market-rate and subsidized multi-family projects. Her analyses of subsidized projects include appraisals for the HUD Market to Market program for HUD approved Private Administrative Entities (PAEs) and rent studies for property owners. In addition, Cindy performs appraisals for the HUD Multi-family Accelerated Processing (MAP) program for HUD approved MAP lenders under guidelines for Section 202, 223(f) and 221(d)(4) loan programs and for USDA Rural Development loan programs. As an approved analyst for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program, she has completed market studies and appraisals for multi-family projects seeking Low Income Housing Tax Credits. In addition, Cindy performs appraisals and provides testimony for real estate tax complaints and litigation.
Some of Cindy’s appraisal and advisory service clients include: banks and life insurance companies, government agencies, municipalities, investors, accountants, attorneys, financial consultants and numerous private individuals. She has analyzed a variety of property types, including office buildings, industrial warehouse and manufacturing facilities, regional, neighborhood and community shopping centers, apartments, condominium developments, and special use properties, such as self-storage facilities, churches and vacant land.
Cindy is currently serving as Chair of the Dayton YWCA Board of Directors. She has also been an active member of the Downtown Dayton Kiwanis Club and past President of the Downtown Dayton Chapter of American Business Women’s Association.

Thomas E. Sherick
Thomas E. Sherick is a Senior Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group, having joined the organization in 1998 as a member of the Appraisal and Litigation/ Valuation Team. In 1994, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati with concentrations in finance and real estate. In 1999, he was instrumental in the opening the Cincinnati Gem office, and is currently a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Tom earned his MAI designation in May, 2008. He is also an associate member of the CCIM Institute, and is also currently pursuing his CCIM designation.
Tom is a member of the Appraisal and Litigation/Valuation Team, providing comprehensive real property appraisal and caluation advisory services. Tom’s experience involves the review and analysis of a broad range of real property types. This experience includes land development (Commercial, Mixed-Use, and Residential) and investment real estate (Office, Industrial, Single-Tenant Retail, Multi-Tenant Retail, and Multi-Family). Before coming to Gem, Tom was with Property Advisors Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Anthony Taylor
Anthony Taylor is a Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group. Tony joined the firm in early 2006 as a member of the Sales and Leasing team.
Tony brings more than 15 years of experience in the real estate finance and management industry to Gem. His experience includes financing all types of investment real estate for a large regional bank. Most recently Tony has been the managing member of a large commercial office and industrial investment real estate portfolio. His responsibilities included acquisition, disposition, leasing, and general asset management of this portfolio.
Tony has been an active member of the board of directors of the Dayton-area National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). As a member of Gem's Sales and Leasing Team, Tony specializes in office and industrial properties in both the downtown and suburban areas.

Stephen J. Weis
Stephen J. Weis is a Vice President with Gem Real Estate Group. Steve joined the company in April 2003. Before coming to Gem, Steve was a commercial real estate appraiser and consultant with the Hazen Company in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati with concentrations in finance and real estate. He is currently a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Ohio and South Carolina and is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina.
Steve has 10 years of commercial real estate experience as an appraiser, investor, broker, property manager, and as a lender for large regional and national banks. His experience was compiled valuing, consulting on, and analyzing commercial real estate projects including: office buildings, industrial warehouse and manufacturing facilities, regional and neighborhood shopping centers, condominium developments, apartments, parking garages, restaurants, residential subdivisions, industrial parks, high-rise oceanfront condominium developments, hotels, golf courses, land development, special use properties, and minority partial interest valuations.
