Charles A. Borgert

Charles A. Borgert is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gem Real Estate Group.  Chuck joined the firm in 1996. In his role at Gem, Chuck oversees the Property Management Division. The goal of this group is to create successful real estate asset management programs for clients. He also works extensively with the group’s Leasing and Sales team to market commercial and industrial properties. Chuck’s professional experience in real estate spans more than 20 years. He has managed high rise office buildings, residential communities, medical complexes, Business Centers, and Industrial/Warehouse Properties, and has been involved in the sale and leasing of these property types.

Douglas E. Harnish

Douglas E. Harnish, MBA is the President of Gem Public Sector Services. 

Doug directly oversees the activities of Gem Public Sector Services and provides comprehensive market analyses, pre-development and financial advisory services to government and non-profit clients. 

With a career that spans more than thirty years in the real estate advisory field, Doug brings significant insight and experience to Gem’s clients. This experience involves real estate valuation, development, financing, and consulting for both public and private sector clients. 

The projects Doug has been involved in extend from office uses to multi-family, to industrial and distribution, to special use properties and vacant land for development. Recent clients include a variety of governmental entities including cities, villages, townships, counties, and states as well as non-profit agencies and institutions.

Jon G. Hazelton

Hazelton is a Senior Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group.  Mr. Hazelton joined the firm in May 1998. As a member of Gem’s Sales and Leasing Team, Jon has played an active role in enhancing the brokerage functions of Gem’s Dayton office. He has also been responsible for contract real estate advisory services and has overseen the new business development function of Gem. 

 Jon brings more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry to Gem. His expertise includes financing commercial and industrial developments. This involved office, retail, multi-family and investor-owned industrial and commercial projects.

J. Timothy Logan

J. Timothy Logan is a Senior Vice President for Gem Real Estate Group.  Tim joined the firm in the first quarter of 2000 as a member of the Sales and Leasing Team. 

 

Tim has been active in expanding the brokerage functions of Gem's Dayton office, including representation of new business park developments. He has also been responsible for contract real estate advisory services and new business development for Gem. 

Tim presents over 30 years of real estate experience to Gem Real State Group. and its clients. His applied knowledge extends through all areas of the commercial real estate field. Tim's primary area of expertise has become the retail and commercial development arenas, especially land development assignments.

Alan S. Cohen

Portrait of Alan S. Cohen, Senior VP of The Gem Real Estate Group, Inc. Alan has built a solid network of industry contacts as well as a reputation for integrity and client-centered results. 

Alan S. Cohen is a Senior Vice President of Gem Real Estate Group.  Alan joined the firm in July 2005.  

 

A native Ohioan and graduate of The Ohio State University, Alan’s real estate career spans thirty years. His experience as Vice President of Real Estate for an international franchising operation gives Alan a corporate perspective and unique strategies for site selection and demographics. Alan specializes in sales and leasing of retail, office and light industrial properties.
