Gem Real Estate Group Announces New Corporate Identity

New and Improved Gem Real Estate Group Logo

The Gem Real Estate Group, Inc., one of southwest Ohio’s leading full-service commercial real estate firms, unveiled today a new corporate identity, which reflects the company’s expanding brokerage portfolio and growing leadership in the industry.

Gem Real Estate Group’s fresh look updates a logo and name that have become widely recognizable in the commercial real estate industry since Gem’s inception in 1993. Starting with just a handful of associates in the appraisal business, today’s Gem has offices in both Downtown Dayton and Cincinnati, and more than twenty employees and associates. The Gem portfolio includes more than 900,000 SF of managed space and more than 100 properties in the brokerage category, not to mention sizable appraisal and public sector businesses.

Gem Marketing Director, Amanda Hussong-Cox, said the primary goal for the change is to make things easier for clients.

The “the” and the “inc” were often inadvertently dropped from the Gem name in conversation and advertising.  And our logo, while fine on letterhead and business cards, was becoming harder and harder to read on large real estate signs.  She added, “The new image is sharp and uncomplicated.”

Hussong-Cox said the new look is one of a number of recent changes at the firm, most notably the absorption of smaller competitor Frydman & Associates in 2005, and a sizable increase in the number of properties represented by Gem’s Brokerage and Property Management divisions. She said the executive team felt spring 2007 was a good time to make a fresh, new start.

By creating a new logo and evolving the name, we are taking steps toward aligning our external identity with the growth that is going on inside our walls, she said.

The new corporate identity introduced today will be implemented through a transitional process. From advertising to signage to a new website, the public should expect to see the new image everywhere over the coming months.

Gem Real Estate Group is a full-service commercial real estate company offering broad expertise in appraisal and advisory services, property management, sales and leasing, and public sector consulting. Founded in 1993, Gem currently has offices in both Dayton and Mason, OH. For more information, contact Amanda Hussong-Cox: cox@gemcompanies.com.
